The woman burst through the doors, slamming them to the sides of her.

She strolled in confidently, in her three inch heels, and announced to her former fellows. “I am back!”

They looked at her, stunned, unbelieving that she could be so forward.

“Yes, that’s right, I have returned. Returned to show you all my prowess. Returned to give you all the honor of being out-shined by my presence!”

The students rolled their eyes and returned to their lunches and last-minute studying.

Why was it that she decided to burst into the cafeteria instead of the faculty lounge?

    Oh, what has ficlets come to? those writers which I looked up to seem to be disappearing! Where’s agood, cheerful Stovohobo ficlet when you need one or is ficlets a thing of the past, reduced to a hobby of… well… the hobbyless (like me)! Don’t take this the wrong way oh ficleteers, past and present. I just feel like everything’s changing so quickly and ficlets was supposed to be my stronghold of unchanging happiness!
