Q's Problem

“Yes, I see your personality does not change with the universe that you are in.” Not exactly an answer to my first question but it answered a question: Where was I?
“And I see you are . . . avoiding the subject.” I said.
He didn’t skip a beat before beginning one of his monologues. It was quiet interesting to say the least.
“You are familiar with the one who came before you. And you are also familiar with why he was there; to answer for humanities crimes and failings. To answer for their suicidal nature. And at a latter time you know that i told him about the Q-tinuums interest in the human race. How their survival has baffled even the greatest of us.”
He paused for a moment as if not wanting to say his next words. Then simple duty overcame him and he dropped the bomb.
“You also know that the Q’s feel . . . threatened by the Human Race. Threatened by how high and how far they are predicted to go. The Q’s have foreseen the human race outlasting us. This is the true problem.”
He sat back and stared at me.
