You walk out of the gun store, your new prize in hand. She tells you to go somewhere private and prepare yourself for what you must do.
You slip, casually, into an alleyway. It’s so filthy here, even the homeless avoid it. You load your gun and ready it.
You step from the alleyway, and she points out your targets. The school teacher. The man in the blue suit. The group of children walking to the movie theatre.
Children? you think to yourself. No, not children. You know about their disguises. They’re not children. Not really.
You know what you must do. She’s told you who must die to reveal the truth. You take aim at the teacher, and place your finger on the trigger.
Someone grabs your arm and, before you can fire, you’re spun around and slammed, face first, into a brick wall. You hear the sound of your neck snapping, then nothing.
You look around. They’re watching you. They saw what you did. You have to make sure they don’t tell anyone. But how?
Don’t worry, you think. She’ll help you…
