Lou had decided it was time to ask his girlfriend to marry him. Only she was dead.

Doable.

Only he didn’t have the credits to get her out of cryogenic freeze. Well it was her head actually, frozen in a can of liquid hydrogen. She’d been that way since before Lou had died the first time. He was supposed to revive her after coming back this time – and he would have – if not for the gambling debts.

And now he’d gone and lost their savings. The only reason he was still alive was to work off his markers. He’d have to pay up soon or she’d be auto-recycled.
