Tabitha Moore was tall and fit, with long dark hair that fell down her back like black velvet. Even with her muscular frame she was considered stunningly beautiful, and she caused quite a stir at fitness competitions, where the judges were regularly captivated by her athleticism, charm, and unusual strength.

When Tabitha won the Women’s World Bodybuilding Championship, she was at the top of her game and her fans wanted more. It was therefore a surprise when she announced that she had decided to retire from bodybuilding.

Phillip Greene, her manager, accompanied her to the press conference. “It’s not too late. I could cancel,” he said.

“Not on your life. We’re knee deep into this now,” she said.

The chauffeur opened the door to the limo and she took her place at the podium. There was loud applause. “Thank you all. I’ll start taking your questions now.”

“Ms. Moore, thank you – can you begin by telling us why you decided to retire?”

“Sure – I know you won’t believe this, but it’s because I’m a vampire.”

    The only thing that could have made this better would be the inclusion of a luchadore or two.

    Well, to be fair, everything is improved with a luchadore or two. Writing a romantic comedy, throw in a luchadore as the jealous ex. Slaving over a teen soap opera, have a luchadore enter the freshman class. Composing a supernatural thriller, make a luchadore magically appear. See, it works every time.

    I wrote another sequel to Howie’s, but I’m afraid I didn’t fit in a luchadore or two. It’s headed that way though… After her bodybuilding career & failed movie attempt, I’m thinking the Raven Empress may have a career as a Gorgeous Lady of Wrestling (Glow).

    A Vampire that has body building experience. That hardly seems fair—that’s like staying in fourth grade for two years so you can dominate dodgeball.

    lol, I don’t know if it’s more frightening or more comical to make your female vamp a muscular one. But the way you ended the story I’m leaning towards comical. I’m gonna sequel this tomorrow.
