Monotonic, ruled by schedule, never had a change of pace in his life… that’s Bryan. Even his name is bland.

It is thought that when a group of people concentrate on the same thing all at once, it really happens; but exactly as described, it was just a thought. On the off event, thoughts are proven real, thus phenomena.

Nobody could stand Bryan, in fact they went out of their way to make him do something unordinary; everyone somehow failed at their attempts… until one extreme case on a normal Wednesday afternoon when Bryan attended a public conference. He was speaking when the entire crowd simultaneously threw various coloured items at Bryan, whom was ever so fond of grey.

Bryan held both hands in the air, and continued with his speech. As if by a telekinetic power, the entire crowd wished Bryan would be different, or interesting, or anything.

Suddenly, comparable to being under a spell, Bryan’s every word, thought and move were gravely altered forever…

    This ficlet is so strange…

    In every possible positive meaning of the word, at that. Quite an interesting point of view, not one you see very often, but it works amazingly in this ficlet. The little thought about the phenomena, the descriptions of a gray world made colorful.

    I love it! And I have no clue why. But if I ever make a movie, I could definitely imagine this as the opening scene…
