I got up and opened the door. A slightly pale boy who was about as tall as me, with black hair that was down to his shoulders with tufts of hair sticking out at random angles, green eyes, a small smile on his face,and a calm voice.
“Yo, Hayden, I want to play you in poker, I’m feeling lucky.”
“Not now, Matt.” I responded.
“But why? It doesn’t seem like- Oh, I see you have a guest.” Matt said, looking at Mel.
“Hi, I’m Melanie.” She said, holding out a hand.
Matt took it, greeting her.
“Hello, I’m Matt,” He said. “Pleasure to meet you. You are in the same grade as Hayden, right?”
“Yeah.”
“So am I.”
Mel looked at me with a quizzical look.
“I wasn’t being I entirely truthful,” I explained. “He’s a genius, it’s no big deal.”
“Oh.” She said.
“Well, anyway, I’m going to take Willy with me okay?” Matt said.
“Ok.”
Matt picked up Willy, and placed him on his shoulder, but Willy took advantage if him not moving, so he jumped onto Matt’s head.
Meeew!!
“Aww!” Mel laughed.
“Seeya.” Matt said, and left.

    i like this story. it’s very cute and sounds like real life happening. the entries could be a little longer
