The Bots

She watched as tears stung her eyes, he forced a smile on his robot-like face.

“Do you, Tabitha-Ruth Jakobs, take Alexander R. Bot to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do.”

“Do you, Alexander R. Bot, take Tabitha-Ruth Jakobs to be your lawfully wedded wife?”

“I… Do…” His gears grinded as he slipped a ring on her finger.

“You may kiss the bride.” The Priest slammed the Bible shut and glared at the newly weds. Stupid inventions! What happened to people marrying people?!

They walked slowly down the aisle, (as Tabitha-Ruth had to help Alexander down the stairs, he had forgotten to lube his joints earlier.) and out onto the lawn, where they continued to walk down the street and away from the Church.

Alexander had to charge before the reception.

    I like how the priest doesn’t like the robot-human marriage…that’s cool. Nice story!

    The priest didn’t like it..maybe they paid him well. LOL ! It is a very nice touch, though. I wonder how the family feels… :)
