I wouldn’t take her advice
She was scared of life.
And I’d never know my limits
if I didn’t stretch my wings.
I took a running start
and leapt into the sky.
She’d warned against this
And I couldn’t see why.
It felt so good to see the world
From my throne up here.
I fell in love, I broke no hearts
I kept my word as good.
I married her, so beautiful
And continued to fly, as I should.
I lived life to the fullest
Sure, I’ve got a few regrets
But I wouldn’t change a thing.
I love where I am now
I leapt, I flew
and she didn’t know how.

    Very nice counterpoint sequel, keeping nicely in the style of the first. And I really liked the overall hopeful, romantic message, and then that little sad twist at the end for comparison.
