Ficlets

Chris wakes up beside Thora in bed. They had been asleep for two hours since they made love. He leans over and kisses her shoulder. Then he gets up to get something to eat/drink.

The whole house is very dark. It is difficult to determine what time it is. He looks at the microwave. It is now a little after three am.

Chris heads to the couch with his sandwich and soda. He rests his meal on the coffe table. Next he grabs the remote and switches on the tv. He immediately turns the volume down. He does not want to wake Thora.

As he sits there and watches tv, a sillouette of a cat appears from the shadows. He looks over to identify which one it is. The cat is intrigued by the flashing lights emitted from the tv. It walks closer, very slow like, as if its in hunting mode. The cat finally loses interest and bounds the couch. It walks up to Chris, hoping to get an offering. “Wassup Felix?” Chris said to the cat. He stroked its head and it meowed in response. He continued and the cat begun to purr.
