Whats so good about 2008?

The ball drops. 16 secounds till new years and i shove the 16 grapes into my mouth. We are band geeks, so traditions like these often happen.

Im a sophomore in highschool, and as you can tell, band is a huge part of my life. I hang with them, have class with them, talk share eat with them. And i have gained friends i never knew i could have,

A group of seniors, 5 in particular are gradutating this year, and over the years, they have become more than friends, but family. Like true brothers and sisters.

So as the ball drops and 2008 approaches, i look around at my family of friends, all with their mouthes laughing and chomping down grapes, I realise that instead of my real older brother leaving for collage, im losing more. Brothers and sisters taht i have met in life.

They will be back I know, to see movies we secretly want to see, and to talk about topics sacred to the bond we have, but as the new year comes, a chunk of my life leaves me…

at least, for now…

    i hope everything goes alright…but you have to realize that graduation is in may {or june…it depends}. you still have a lot of time to spend with your family of friends.
