He knocked once, shaking uncontrollably. The door slowly opened and he stared at the face he had so desperately fought to forget. She wore the most beautiful dress she had. It was a beautiful blue that brought out her eyes. Her hair hung about her shoulders. She was absolutely stunning.

Eric nervously raised the roses. “Bought ya these.” he smiled weakly and she returned it broadly. She took them and gestured him inside. He walked in and followed her as she left to put the flowers in a vase. He looked around the apartment and saw every picture of the two of them still on the walls.

She returned and rushed into his arms. “I told Jack to leave a little while after you called.” She began to cry.

Eric tried his best to hold back his tears but he had little success. She looked up into his eyes and he leaned down. He was giddy as he held her in the most amazing kiss the two had shared.

She pulled back. “We have lots to talk about.”

Eric nodded slowly. “I know.”

“But I love you too much to let you go hunny.”
