The final seconds of the game. His life was centered around his kick. If it went in he wins, if he misses, he loses.

In the final seconds of the game. His life was centered around his hands. If it went in he loses, if he catches it, he wins.

He took a step back and swung his foot to strike the center of the ball.

He looked at his feet, chose where to guard the goal. He takes a leap and his hard are outstretched ready to grip the ball.

Time went as slow…all eyes gazed at the same spot. There was a gasp of breath. The whole crowd held their breath for what seemed like an enternity.

The ball sailed through the air spinning ver so to give it the perfect curve.

Two futures relied on this ball. Only one future would make it.

The striker struck with all his skill.

The goalie saved with all his might.

The rest will never be known…

    GOAAAAAAAAALLLLLL …. o wait, i jumped the gun. Neat story. I like the cliff hanger ending because any outcome to that event would be expected. This way the reader is forced to linger in the climax.
