Ernie flipped himself into his car and revved “Rubber Ducky’s” engine a little bit. It made him smile inside to know that he made good decisions in his life. As he shifted the car into first gear his phone rang. It was Burt.
Rubber Ducky, you’re the one. You make bath time…
“Hiya Burt. How are ya?” He replied in his usual raspy laugh.
“Miserable.” Burt grumbled depressed.
“Miserable? How can you be? It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Our Green Frog is getting a lifetime achievement award!”
“How can you say such things at a time like this?”
“What do you mean, buddy-boy?”
“Ernie, Kermit’s been shot by Fozzie, Animal is trying to kill Beaker, and The Count is screwing up things even worse!”
“So, Fozzie is in jail?!” Ernie pulled over to the side of the road. He was stunned.
“No, Fozzie is in the wild. Apparently brown bears are protected animals and the Feds won’t let him go to jail. The existence of Puppets is nearing the end, Ernie!”
“I guess we need to save the day, Burt.”
