No jokes, no threats, no false pretenses
Just one life to life right here and now
You’ll wonder why, but don’t you cry
Just know you’ll make it through somehow.

Through snow and sun and stormy weather
Keep your head turned to the sky so blue
And on the days when it’s gray and gloomy
Don’t you let yourself become, too.

“Be you”: It’s tough when you
Just don’t know exactly who you are
Take a breath and close your eyes
And wish upon that shining star.

Breathe in each little miracle
A chance to dance in the rain
The sun as it shines down on you
Wiping away the pain.

Love as much as you possibly can
Keep friends old and new
And smile when you remember me
For I’m smiling, too.
