It's A Date

I set my bag of toiletries on the edge of the bath tub and lay my cell phone on the stack of towels behind me.
He said he’ll call you first I remind myself. I’d been so happy when I saw the note. He called me beautiful and wanted to hang out.
What are you doing? Tiffany is your best friend. I feel guilty but the more selfish side of me starts whispering in my ear. Just look at how many guys she goes through. She doesn’t really want him. And the jealousy? She’s just the possessive type.
Before I have time to think about it more, my cell vibrates. I answer it quickly.
“Hey, sexy,” Damien’s smooth voice greets. “Did you find my note?”
“I did. Do you really have my sweater?”
“Yeah and if you want it back you have to come to my house tomorrow at two.”
My heart quickens. His house? Butterflies instantly fill my stomach. I’m afraid of what will happen if we’re alone together.
“What about that cafe that just opened?” I suggest. “I wanted to check it out.”
“Sure, baby. Whatever you want. See you tomorrow.”
