My clock keeps the time…
that i’ve thought of your name,
and i’ve wished you were here,
to make me feel safe,

And the hands go in circles…
like the thoughts in my head,
and the plans that i’ve had,
which just dont seem to work,

Each sound tells the story…
of a chance that she’s had,
of each hug and each kiss,
which she’s always missed,

Then the person who wears it…
flashes a smile everyday,
she believes she’s ok,
knowing inside she’s hurt.
