Mundane Moments Made Magnificent - a Challenge

Well bugger me. I just noticed I’ve written more than 52 ficlets. This calls for a celebration of sorts – a challenge, perhaps? I haven’t issued any before, and I’m not likely to do so again, so now seems as good a time as any.

The challenge is this: Take a mundane moment , and make it seem like the single most important thing to ever happen in someone’s life. Take a simple thing, for example making coffee or checking the mail, and write about it with passion and magnificence. Make a simple act glorious. Turn something trite into something tremendous.

How you choose to do this is up to you. You have a wealth of writing options available to you.

There will be an actual prize too – the winner will receive a copy of Jump Leads #1 before the comic goes on sale in February. “Hoorah!” I hear you cry, “A free copy of a comic I’ve never heard of!”

    I love the alliteration of the title. And I checked out your comic online—It’s fanatstically drawn! I’d be honored to have a copy. If I don’t win I’ll probably buy the first one. It looks like it could blow up with the right exposure.
