‘This must be the drawing-room.’ she whispered, mostly to calm her nerves. ‘It’s here somewhere.’ she muttered determinedly as she began searching the room. They wouldn’t send me in here if it wasn’t. Would they? Aw, who am I kidding, of course…
A loud creak in the hallway interupted her thoughts, she jerked her head up at the noise. At the same moment she could’ve sworn the shadow in the doorway was…moving...
