When you say goodbye,
Do I say hello?
When you start to talk fast
Do I speak soft and slow?

When your smile is sunny,
Is mine drenched in rain?
When you shine with happiness
Do I drip with pain?

There’s something about you
that’s hard to forget
A reason beyond
All possible regret.

Something just barely
Outside of my grasp
Something to make me
Scream and gasp.

When I say, “Hola”
You reply with “Adieu”
and maybe it’s the reason
that I dearly love you.
