Balentine's Day{ Butterflygirl 6106's Valentine's Day Challenege

It’s Valentine’s Day and I got but one card. Sound like I’m complaining. But this one was special. This one was hand made, by my niece.

“Uncle Dudley, I brung you a Balentine’s card Valentine’s card, ” she said, her tiny voice filled with excitement.

“Well thank you sweetheart, that’s so thoughtful of you,” I said, trying not to cry.

“Open it,” she bossily demanded as only little girls can get away with.

I opened the home made envelope, full of miss shappen hearts. Inside, her name scrawled in large letters. More of what passed for hearts in side.

“What’s Balentine’s day Uncle Dudley?”, she asked.

“It’s a day set aside to tell people how much you love them with cards and candy”, I said and held out a heart shaped box of candy and a little white plush bear. Her eyes lit up like I’d given her Hannah Montana concert tickets.

So I’m not complaining about my one Valentine’s Day card, made with love by little hands.
