Mutany at the High Seas (Pirates Challenge)

by Blusparrow

“Walk the plank!” chanted the pirate mates.
Man, I never thought I would be here. Walking the plank, looking at the deep sea below.

I always dreamed of being a pirate. Coming from a poor family, I thought it would be an adventure. My dad was never around and my mom never told me what he did. I thought he was a pirate go threw the high seas for money. Later I learned he was just going around looking for jobs. I wanted to give it a try though. So, even though I was a girl I found my way into a pirate ship. No, I did not dress up like a guy that never works. I married a pirate, Captain Marter. He was a great husband and great captain.

Damn, I hate mutiny. There was my husband, swimming to an island. Looking back at me from time to time, waiting. So I did it. I bounced the plank a couple of times then dived in. The salty water hit my eyes, I forgot to close them. Man I really got my adventure now.

Double-check the spelling on “mutany.” I think it’s supposed to be mutiny.
