Fallen

by Culture Shock w/ Mike Schwartz

Taken off guard, I jumped backwards. Unfortunately not being able to see, I was unable to catch myself, and felt my body crash to the wooden floor.

Sheer embarrassment replaced any emotion I had before. Now she would know my greatest flaw. That I would never be able to look into her beautiful eyes. I would never be able to see her smile.

Time dragged as I laid there. The thought of what expression she might have, terrified me. I tried to pick myself up, but it was to no avail. I did not know what to grip onto.

“Could you give me a hand?” I finally requested while holding mine out blindly in front of me.

Still silence, as she caught my hand and helped me to my feet. “There is something I should tell you…” I began as I tried to find my way to my bench.

Oh, I feel so bad for Pierre… I wonder how she will react! I swear I feel like I know these characters, you’ve made them that real.

Tenderly told, really make us feel for the poor guy, there on the floor embarrassed but not able to see any reassuring signs that might mitigate that feeling.
