Love &Friendship

by SKermitgorf

A voice like a nigthengale, so melodic even when she was not singing.
Her once dark hair, now a shiny gold, eyes as green as emeralds.
He’d only met her three months prior, on line, they talked every night by cell phone or messages online. Their age gap was almost a generation wide. They lived in different states. So many reasons to keep them apart. Yet a bond was formed.
She was talkative and wise beyond her years, full of helpful advice. He loved the sound of her hearty laughter at his lame jokes.
She was fiesty, a forced to be reckoned with to be sure.
Never dull.
They both suffered from low self esteem, but managed to lift the other’s mood at just the right times.
She could sense from miles away when he was sad.
She sent him songs to download, often from artists he did not know, but they had messages of encouragement and love and friendship.
Though they would not be destined to be together as a happily ever after couple, she was a part of him for life.

wow such a touching ode to friendship.. marvelous how this sounds so familiar.. You have really captured the essence of the bond between these two people. Even down to the events. Incredible! The muse in this story must be one lucky person! And as always, the rating system is lacking some stars..
