Pleading with a Pirate

You jostle Zoe and Joe awake as the pirates behind you mumble and grumble in search of you. Before you can explain to them what’s happening, you hoist them up and point yourselves out to the pirates.

“Oy! Hey, over here!” you yell. After all, you don’t want to spend much longer in the jungle just with you and your two buddies. Might as well search for the treasure with the rest of your shipmates.

Captain Black, however, does not seem to agree. “There ya are, yer filthy braggarts!” he cries, clutching you by the hair. “Kill ‘em, the deserters!”

You try to explain yourself while Zoe and Joe just look at you with scorn.

“Captain Black, sir, we was just – “

Your words are cut off as the captain seizes his cutlass and promptly chops your head off.
