Um…(oh, jeez)...Well, I’m Stovo, and, well, I’m a Ficletholic. Now that that’s off my chest…

Anyway, my first ficlet was written July 24th, 2007, after I had found ficlets by clicking on a link to one of Crown Me Tarzan, King of Mars’s ficlets that was featured on AIMToday (they don’t do that anymore, do they? That makes me sad).

Then I started checking for comments…and writing a little bit more….and writing way more, until a month later, I had over 100 ficlets. Then later during the seventh-grade school year, I slackened off a little bit – probably in my 200’s or something. I didn’t get back into it until a little later.

Since my first ficlet was No. 5579, I think, I feel a little proud to have predated many of the authors on this site now. And then I actually get a grip on reality and look at such ficleteers as THX and Howie Amourscow and CMT , KOM and many others who’ve done this even longer and more faithfully than I have. I salute them and their similar condition.

Ah, yes, I’m a ficletholic!

Credit to CMT , KOM. It was the one about the boyfriend who was blown to bits by his French ex-girlfriend – with a missile launcher, which was incorporated into the title, I think.

A ficletholic taking a rather proud stance for a self-help recovery group. Oh, recovery be darned! This is just too much fun. And I predate you? Really? I would’ve guessed the other way around, but I consider it an honor to get a mention alongside such greats as Howie and CMT , KOM (aka the ficleteer who must not be named).

Srry, what I meant was that technically our self help group would just make us more obsessed, b/c we would do it on the site. No, of course I don’t wanna b cured! I love this addiction!

I know that you Stovo, predate me on ficlets because you were my 1st reader..commentor and well.. with out you buddy, i’d have not been as good a writer now, i would have givenn up in frustration.. thanx for helping me in the ealry days of Aug 07… ever gateful.

I’d say that I’m happy to have more people in treatment, but I don’t think that’s exactly where we are.

wow. yeah, im some-what addicted to ficlets. I have some site i am addicted to, and this is def. one of them. I like to see how many comment i can get, if ppl like my stuff, and to read my favorite authors fictets, and to read my favorite series as well as comment to diff stories and write new one. Keep up the good work.

THX - Well, I’m not positive on who predated who, but I know you at least as a person who’s been around about as long as I have. Check the date of your first ficlet, if nothing else.

Hey Stovohobo! I thought you were here way before me! But it turns out I was only a couple days after you! I wrote my first ficlet July 31st 2007.

Hey I’ve been around quite a while too. Nine months now…first ficlet was number 3127. Wow…that seems ages ago. And I still haven’t written 100 ficlets.

I am surprised to say that I outdate you, Stovohobo. My first ficlet was written May 26, 2007 and was number 3347. But I have yet to write 100 ficlets. =]

I love this. Does dedicating a bulletin board to ficlets qualify me as a ficletholic? ;) I am so guilty. I always try to be creative when it comes time to change the board in the library at school, I like to catch the attention of the students and give them something that they will put to good use and Ficlets is definitely something that is FUN and educational. However addicting it may become.

I remember first learning of your existence, Stovo. You kind of came out of nowhere. I’ve been on just as long as you and have yet to complete 100 ficlets. A ficlet fiend you are! :)

So, I’m partly responsible for getting you hooked on Ficlets? Well, in that case, I certainly expect a cut of the royalties from your first published novel. (At the very least, could I get a mention on the acknowledgments page?)
