Autumn and Justin: Closer Together

“Great!” I was happy about his suggestion, the sooner the better! I looked at my watch. 20 minutes left. The computers were filled with students beginning their research.

“We have time, we can look for books here.” He nodded.

I stood up. I needed a change of scenery. The air was thick with pheromones over our table. I stalked a computer like a close parking space at Wal-Mart. When one was free I found him at my side. I liked it.

There were tall stools at the computers, which I was too short for. I’d have to climb up and look down on him. He was only a couple of inches taller than me. And since I stood, stubbornly, so did he. Ladies first and all.

However, this meant we were closer to each other, both looking at the screen. I forced myself to type ‘Piaget’ into the search box. I tried not to notice his body; to pretend I didn’t notice him there, but really I was aware of every inch of him. My body sensed his as if he were a twin. I copied dewey decimals onto a scrap paper and then led him to the stacks.
