My greaTest fear is tHat thEre isn’t enough time.

Time behaves strangely, sloW while it’s passing by, but when it’s left, you wOnder what happened to it all. I’ll neveR understand why.

There’s so much I yearn to do in this worLD. I’ll visit Brazil and ChIna and Europe, I’ll publiSh a book, I’ll have children, fight global warming, fall in love, and so much More.

If I can.

Yesterday was our scHool dance. I was sitting in the cafeteria with a slice of pizza, talking with a good friend of mine. We happened to be discussing roller coasters.

I shivered. “I’ll never gO on one,” I proclaiMed. “It’s so scary.“

“You might as well,” she replied. “You could get killed doing anything. You could get killEd just walking. You might as well have some fun.”

My friend wouldn’t understand the light bulb that went on in my mind when she said that. And she’s right. But the time slips through my fingers like fine grains of sand.

I hope I’ve still got some left.
