Sora closed her milky-white eyes; She felt tears leaking from underneath her eyelids.
Her life had been won, but her sight had been lost.
If only she hadn’t been so curious.
She turned over on her side and toyed with her hair.
Sora remembered asking her mother what she looked like; Her mother had answered:
“You have wonderful long black hair. You are very tall and elegant, your eyes are crystal white color and your hands are delicate. To me, you are the most beautiful girl in the world.”
Sora hugged her pillow closer. She was in the middle of monologuing herself when she heard the unmistakable soft creak of her window opening.
There was a light rushing sound, and someone’s feet touched the ground softly;
“Who’s there?” Sora bolted upright, tossing the covers off.
She felt an icy hand over her mouth, and heard a male voice at her ear:
“You’re very good; No one would have noticed me, usually,”
