I’ve risen from fifth to first, then back to second on the Active Authors List.
I am a proud Member of the League of Awesomeness, keeping the spirit of sequeling and positive commenting alive on Ficlets.
Encouraging a great friend to write and see her talent grow so quickly, has really made me proud, to be a Muse and mentor.
When my mother took sick and subsequently died in 2007, my writing became more sentimental , and my style somewhat changed. It took awhile to regain my comic abilities. I dedicate all I write to her memory, she knew I had a passion for writing and was very pleased I found this site as an outlet, after getting so many rejections from publishers.

The positive support, encouragement from those of all ages is astounding. The talent from the younger members impresses me most and encourages me in my writing.

Life itself is a journey, we know not the endgame, but Ficlets and the Ficleteers and the Awesome authors and Kevin Lawver the creator, we owe a debt of gratitude.

    Great closing line, tied the Ficlet together nicely. And about the “all ages” thing…that’s something I really love about Ficlets. We’re all such a community. And wow—you got rejected by publishers?!? Pardon me while I go faint from shock…

    Lovely sentiment there. And getting published is a tricky thing involving a lot of external things other than talent (what’s ‘hot’ in the industry, that editor’s taste, someone else having a bad day). That’s the arts, so don’t let it get you down.
