Words

Jacob put himself between Owen, but Owen got to me. He pushed me down and I fell against the other wall. And then there he was towering over me. “I can’t believe you of all people would lie to me like that.” He hissed. I replied, “Owen, you don’t understand. What you did to me a while ago never left me. I can’t just forgive you for that. And when I said I liked Jacob, I meant it. He is better for me. He doesn’t force me to do the unspeakable and he doesn’t hurt me like you. I just don’t understand how you could say you love me but then you hurt me like you did. That was horrid and then making me come back here was even worst because all of those memories flared and I hated you again. You know what you did to me and I can’t understand why you expect me to just forgive you. You never even said sorry.” Owen’s face dropped all anger as he absorbed my speech. He looked like he was about to hit me, but he sat down and whispered, “I am sorry.” but I pushed him away, not wanting to hear those words anymore.
