Ficlets

Our mouths moved together and the first second they separated I gasped, “You cheated.”

“How?” he asked, with a grin on his face.

“What happened to my ten seconds?” He laughed, and kissed my lips once.

“I never said I’d play fair,” he whispered. Both hands were on my face now, and his lips were on mine again. He kissed me harder this time, and moved himself closer to me until our bodies were pressed against each other, as well as our lips.

I grabbed his jacket and tried to pull him closer. His smell worked its way to my head and clouded my thoughts. I felt dizzy. My heart raced. My blood pumped. I wondered if this was what feeling high was like.

He pulled away slowly, trying to get everything out of the last few seconds that our lips touched. Resting his forehead on mine he whispered, “I love you.”
