Wall

by Strait Jacket Child

Standing tall in disrepair
It doesnt care It’s just a wall
No one notices it standing there.
No one would panic were it to fall.

It’s just a wall
Solitary and cracked.
The church towers above
Everything the wall lacked.

They’re kind of like us
the buildings you see?
They all have imperfections
and a purpose, or three.

Sometimes the goal is hidden from view
sometimes it’s obvious what it’s supposed to do.
Whatever it does, it’s not very long
Before nature brings down concrete, no longer strong.

Very nice, gradual set up for your analogy and then carried through to being more about the wall at the end again. Nicely done.

imperfections to a wall and still having a purpose.
