“Hey guys, Emily’s here!” Kevin called, bringing her into the room where we were playing Rockband.
“Hold on!” Joe cried. “We’ve almost finished the song!”
Kevin rolled his eyes. “Sorry Emily. This is the last song in the game and they’ve been trying to beat it for days.”
“It’s OK.” she laughed.”I totally understand.”
We groaned as we failed the song, again.
“Hey!” Joe hugged Emily. “Your ankle’s healed.”
“Yeah. Good as new.” Emily smiled.
“Emily, this is Wes. Wes,this is our friend Emily. The one we told you about.” Nick introduced us.
“Hi!” I said. “It’s so great to finally meet you! I heard how brave you were in the supermarket.”
“Me?” Emily said stunned. “I’m glad to finally meet you! I heard how brave you were in the accident.”
We both laughed while the Jonas Brothers looked slightly embarrased.
“Hey, can I ask you something?”
“Sure.” Emily shrugged.
I leaned forward and whispered in her ear.
Her eyes sparkled and she whispered back.
“Hey!” Joe protested. “What are you talking about?”
