Apparently she had not noticed the crack…the splitting open of her facade.
She knew she was struggling, she knew she wasn’t looking after herself.

It came on quite suddenly and now we are here. Left to understand what went wrong.
How do you fix a broken soul?
Time heals all wounds, but this is deep. This is truly a shame.

He watched it happen, figuring when it was his turn to be the hero, he would be… he would pick up the pieces, be adored for his understanding and shoulder the brunt of the situation.
But this time it’s different. He’s watching her break and she knows it. She is watching herself break and he knows it.

Neither of them want to play the game anymore.
