“Call Of Duty man, the Killcam, isn’t that an awesome feature?,” I said, wanting to talk about the game, or to someone other than Jolinda and her wedding plans and wedding books and wedding everything.
Jason said, “Yeah when you’re opponent watches the last five seconds of his life after you shot him, just awesome.”
I liked this guy. “Yeah better than Medal of Honor,” I said.
“For sure,” he said.
We talked about war gaming till we both realized we were late getting back to work.
We walked in the same direction for work, and we soon discovered we worked in the same building, and yes the same floor.
We laughed when we realized we were co workers.
I had more in common with Jason than with my any of my friends. Friends that I’d neglected since my engagement.
I sat down at my desk in my tiny cubicle, thankful the boss didn’t know I was late.
I should have asked Jason if he wanted to go out for beers after work. He seemed really cool.
