From what Abby could hear, Seth was talking to Ben, about what he should do (ie. put the handle of the chair up, put his arm around her, etc). Truthfully, Abby didn’t want to be near anyone right now. She wanted to be home. In her room. In the dark. Seemed like that was just where she was the most comfortable.
Katelyn and Amber were chattering away. Abby caught something about popcorn. She didn’t want to know.
Abby tried to concentrate on the previews for the movie to keep herself from thinking. Thinking and feeling bad. She felt bad because she thought she rushed into this thing with Ben when she didn’t really like him. She still liked Seth, there was no trying to convince herself otherwise anymore.
The thing was, Ben didn’t diserve this. He was nice, smart, and an all around good person. But Ben wasn’t for Abby, and he never would be. Something just didn’t click with them.
This “relationship” would have to end, even if it had only been a couple of weeks.
