The car was swerving as I tried to take control of it. I had started to fall asleep at the wheel. So much for that Mexican radio station keeping me awake tonight.

“Hey Mickey, what’s going on?” my buddy said as he woke up.

“Sorry, almost fell asleep back there.” I replied.

He mumbled something and went back to sleep, probably dreaming of dancing barefoot on the Mexican beach we were heading to.

We had left our dull life, in a northern town, to head down south for some R&R. It had been a cruel summer for both of us, but it was time to recover. if I didn’t kill us on the way down.

A few minutes later, I started to fall asleep again. My buddy work up again as I pulled the car over to the side of the road.

“I think that’s enough driving for you Mr. Blue Sky.” he said.

    While writing, it turned out to be harder than I first thought it would be. Of course a challenge is suppose to be challenging.

    I liked it. Wonderful choices for the songs. A great little tale. Kind of reminds me of the two road trip some friends and I took to California way back when (gods, was it really 13 years ago?!).

    Whats happens in Mexico stays in Mexico… cool songs in road trip story, flows well.
