[CHALLENGE] 1980's Arcade Games

Write a story inspired by a 1980’s video game. (i.e. – Ms. Pac Man luv story, Asteroids Sci-Fi, etc.) – you name it. It can be about anything, but must be inspired by a 1980’s video game.

Examples:

Asteroids: Your space craft is dangerously situated among moving asteroids in an asteroid belt that can destroy your ship on contact. Armed with a front mounted weapon and the ability to hyperspace, you fly through the debris, destroying each rock one piece at a time. Alien saucers visit the playfield from time to time with an eye towards destroying your ship!

Ms. Pac-Man eat all the dots in a maze to advance to the next stage. She’s chased by killer ghosts but she can eat them while powered up after eating one of four large dots.

Oh, baby! Right up my alley! I grew up in the arcades in the 80’s (much to my parent’s chagrin). Hmmm… Maybe I’ll have to think of a nice, obscure game.

You can almost tell the age of some people by the level of obscurity of their video game choices. I’m thinking of doing Rally X, Karate Champ, or Elevator Action…

There was a game, whose title I’m trying to remember, that involved filmed stock footage of WWI biplanes dogfighting, and a push bar that triggered a machine gun sound effect…
