How did I get into this mess?

Then again, at least I have a backbone, unlike those spineless twerps back at the castle. Their princess gets kidnapped by some freaking mutant Gammera-wannabe, and what do they do? Just stand there!

Well, at least I can make some cash on this little side trip. Just hope my insurance company doesn’t find out about this!

Okay, so they went this way. His trail isn’t to hard to follow. Thank God I used to be a boy scout. Those tracking and reptile biology merit badges will be useful.

Wait. What’s that. It’s… It’s… What the hell is that?!

You have got to be kidding me! It’s a bloody mushroom with legs! Holy cats, the damned thing has teeth, too! I gotta hide. I gotta…

Hold on. It’s like 1/2 my size!

That was easy. Oh. More of them. A lot more! Wait… What’s that…

Oh, dude! Magic mushrooms! I’m not gonna care how many mushrooms and turtles there are!

Woah! I’m twice my size!

It’s stompin’ time!

Went through a few arcade games, but settled on SMB for the NES . Just been wanting to use that magic mushrooms reference for a while. ;)

Pretty cool, but what about Donkey Kong? I guess he can be in the sequel.

Pretty cool – loved what you’ve done here. You’re retro music challenge inspired me to keep the 80’s challenges flowing… Nicely done – I’ve always thought Mario’s world was super-psychedelic drug inspired. Turns out the Shigero Miyamoto was just one lonely kid growing up in Japan with a wild imagination. You did the game justice! Great work!

Great stream of consciousness description of the game. So many games had such wild set-ups and scenarios that some unsuspecting schmoe was just dropped in. Very amusing.

But our princess is in another castle.

When I found out the the game I loved so much at the grocery store (SMB) could be played at home on a television... BOOM . My mind blew. The beginning of the end.
