I heard Mel sigh on the other end.
“Listen, Hayden, I don’t know if I can trust you.”
come ON!!!
I practically jumped into the air in exasperation, but remained my voice calm.
“Whatever, sleep on it, will ya?” I said.
“Ok, bye.”
“I still love you.” I murmured.
“You too, I’m just not sure.” Mel hung up after that.
I sighed loudly and let the afternoon fly by. I tried to fall asleep a little, but I couldn’t. To fix the problem, I played my gameboy until my eyes got so tired, I fell asleep with it on in my hand.
I woke up to the sound of Matt knocking on my door. Grumbling, I opened my door.
“I aughtta kick your ass.” I mumbled. “Wakin’ me up this early in the mornin’.
“Play me in chess.” He said dryly.
“Fine.”
With Willy sitting on his head, we went into his room. We played silently for a couple of hours, he ended up winning.
“You suck at this.” Matt stated.
“Your I genius.” I countered. “Plus, your lucky Willy’s on your head, if he wasn’t, I’d punch you.”
He just smiled.
“Your lucky Mel’s crazy ‘bout you.”
