When I got home.. late.. Jolinda pounced on me with wedding brochures.

“Parker, look at this dress, I have got to have it,” she said, shrilly.

I looked at the price. Hmmph, Daddy would pay for it. What do I care, I thought.

Feeling bored I surfed through boring channel after channel on TV.
All the while Jolinda yammered on about ‘the wedding’.

I wondered what Jason was doing now. Was his life this suffocating. I bet he was playing Call of Duty. I know I wish I was instead of listening to Jolinda. If she says wedding one more time I swear I will scream.

”.... and my wedding dress will be the envy of all my sorority sisters,” Jolinda said.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH”, I screamed, and my fiancee looked at me like I had gone off the deep end. Perhaps I had.

She batted an eyelash and kept talking.
I stopped listening. How I wish I was back at that bar laughing with Jason and Barkley, the beefy barkeep.
Good times . Would I have any more of those.
My bachelor days were nearing and end.

    lol im tempted to add something but i love this thing yu too guys have going on plus im a girl and even though i can empathise i have no idea how guys can talk about somethings for hours….......

    Really a hilarious counterpoint to the one before, different views or experiences of domestic arrangements, such as they are. Not the rosiest vision of the joy of getting married, but not exactly an atypical male view on the matter.
