The Room (VI)

by Capital "W" Writer (LoA's Geekus Awesomeus)

When I woke up, it was daylight. I opened my eyes, and noticed something very wrong with my apartment.

Namely the fact that it wasn’t there anymore!

I jumped up out of the chair I was in, and slammed my head into the shelf directly above it. “Ow! Son of a…”

“Is he awake, Castus?” I heard someone yell.

“I’ll check right away, master,” a young boy called back.

I looked for a way out. I was in a small room (a large closet might have been a better description) with stone brick walls. The only window was a slit in one wall. It ran about three quarters the height of the wall, but was too narrow for me to fit through.

I heard someone approaching the door. Aside from a straw bed, the chair I was been in, and a few books, there didn’t seem to be anything I could use as a weapon. Time to put my karate to use.

I hid behind the door, and waited. The door opened, and a kid about 13 or 14 stuck his head in. I was about to throw him out of the way, when he turned and looked at me.

All I could think was, No way!
