INT . HOSPITAL – NURSE STATION – NIGHT

The station consists of a small counter with an old cash register. Shelves of videotapes line the walls. A NURSE (Mike) assists a PATIENT (Miss Falewicz) with a tape.

AURORA GREENWAY (Jerry) bursts in and pushes past the patient.

AURORA
Excuse me…

NURSE
(not looking up)
One moment.

AURORA
It’s past ten.

The nurse ignores her.

AURORA
My daughter needs her shot! She’s in pain! And you’re just standing here! You’re…

Aurora rips the tape out of the patient’s hands.

AURORA
You’re renting Beaches?! My daughter is dying and you’re renting Beaches?!

Aurora flings the tape across the room.

AURORA
I don’t understand why she has to have this pain. All she has to do is hold out until ten, and it’s past ten! My daughter is in pain, can’t you understand that! Give my daughter the shot!!

Aurora shoves a row of videos off the shelf onto the floor.

NURSE
All right! All right! Why’d you have to trash the place anyway?

    I wrote this basically in screenplay format, though not perfect, given the limitations of the site. If you haven’t yet seen BE KIND REWIND , I recommend it highly.

    Probably would have helped if I had seen either movie. But I do know they are very different movies, so bold choice.

    I’m dying to see “Be Kind Rewind.” I hope it holds up to Gondry’s other films.

    This was funny as hell. Next time I see those movies, I’ll be laughing and pissing off my friends, thanks to you. :D
