“Yeah, it would’ve.” I said. “All of my fraternity brothers would have hunted you down.”
“Frat brothers!?” Colleen exclaimed. “This is supposed to be medieval times! There aren’t colleges in medieval times!!”
“There wasn’t a mafia is medieval times, either.” I countered.
“Whatever, lets get going.”
She stood up and walked down the forest path, Colleen limping a little from her cut.
“You sure you don’t want me to carry you again?” I asked.
Colleen shot me a dirty look, but gave in. She slung her arms around my neck and climbed up.
In a matter of minutes, I was too tired. I pushed on anyway.
I’m really glad she saved me.
“Colleen?” I asked.
“Hmm?” She said.
“What would you say if I like you?”
“I would get my sorority sisters to hunt you down.”
“There’s no college in medieval times, remember?” I joked.
“Maybe.” Colleen said.
I chuckled and walked on.

    I think it’s hilarious that the characters are aware enough to talk about what did and did not exist in the time period of the story (but judging from MBTM ’s comment maybe it wasn’t set in medieval times?)
