Remember Me...Please

by flute faerie

My heart aches,
every day I don’t see your face.
My soul waits for you,
hoping you’re waiting too.
I am lost in this sea of hope,
a tiny bubble, for you I grope.
My mind asks, are you hoping for me too?
Do you miss me, or do you not have a clue?
Are you too busy with other girls,
to even remember that one with all the curls?
Do you think of me once, then shoo it away,
forgetting everything that happened that day?
I hope you will remember when I see you once more,
And that we will still be at the foot of opportunity’s door.

Oooh! I like this a lot. It’s wonderful in that it’s so easy to relate to. The sort of in between suspension that goes on for all too long sometimes, and is often not made light of in writing. I made one technical catch – “opportunities” should be “opportunity’s”, it’s possesive. Otherwise, very nice indeed.
