Just a Little Girl

“It’s like she knows something.”

“What, her? She doesn’t know anything about us.” He glanced up for a second, then shook his head and went back to fixing his gloves.

“She might.”

He stopped. “What do you mean she might.

“Well, we don’t know anything about her, that scares me.”

“She’s just a little girl. She doesn’t- cant- know anything about this.”

“You never know.”

“No man, I do know. They wouldn’t let a thing like this leak. Not to a little girl.” I must not have looked convinced. He sighed and leaned in. “Listen, nothing, gets leaked out of that agency. They are the most secure, classified agency in the world. More than the CIA . More than the FBI . More than hundreds of other companies like this, that you, have never heard of.”

“Um, ok.” But I looked back at the girl. She was still staring.

He didn’t miss that. Agents at his rank don’t miss stuff like that. “Come on, let’s go. We have a city to steal. Or save. Whichever way you look at it.”

The irony of it killed me.

Ok, first of it’s kind that I’ve seen from you. But I like this change in pace. And its not weird, stop putting yourself down.

Quite good, solid interaction from the two characters and lots of little hints at possibilities without tying yourself down to one explanation yet. And a great creative leap from the picture.
