I watched the show right along with you. Heroes was my favorite. I couldn’t wait for Monday to roll around. Then it all became too real…

“Ah, that hurt.” I punched you rather hard on the arm, because of the intense sensation of pain around my scalp, which I mistakingly thought you caused. “What are you doing, dude? It’s not funny. Cut it out!”

“That’s precisely what I wish to do,” Sylar said, menacingly.

“What’s happening to me?” I screamed, as Sylar continued to saw through my skull. “What could I possibly have that you want, Sylar? I’m ordinary just like you!”

“You have the ability to monitor my enemies when I’m not around. That will come in very handy.”

“Don’t you realize, it’s just a TV show?”

“You and I both know that’s not true,” Sylar sneered. “Almost done. The pain will subside soon, since you won’t be alive to feel it.”

“Ah hah!” Hiro screamed, “The timeline was correct! Save the couch potato, save the world!”

We dropped to the floor, as Sylar turned his attention to the real Heroes.

    Still laughing! And looking over my shoulder, just in case I am the couch potato Sylar, the character I hate most (and I rarely use the word hate) in television land, is looking for. ;) Wonderful ficlet!! So glad you chose the Heroes storyline.
