smashed into the dirt because the house was
demolished.
rhyme all you want to
it doesn’t make you literary.

    I think I’ve felt that way before. :) To me, poetry is more about emotion and powerful images than it is about rhyming. I mean, rhymes are pretty easy. Arresting someone’s attention is way more difficult. Good job!

    Woohoo for free verse! It’s the people’s verse! Rhyme only serves as making it easy to memorize, I think. I have felt this often. Why most of my (what I’d call) poems don’t rhyme. I love this.
