Dawning

Detective Walsh’s head was spinning as he left the starkly bright basement room and wandered into the darkness of the city. He was still pondering these new facts as he unlocked the door to his motel room and fell upon his bed at nearly 2 A.M.

He dreamt about a bar where he kept chasing a tall man but could never catch a glimpse of his face. He woke to the sun glaring on his face through a crack in the blinds. His subconcious felt desperate, and defeated from his dream, and his concious mind was just as tired and befuddled as when he went to bed. He took a disappointingly lukewarm shower, then went to a diner for coffee.

He sipped and stared at his notes. He had to investigate this custody case. He had to get proof that this “Hulk” man worked for Trazelli, and then find out if he killed the mother of Trazelli’s illegitimate daughter. This same daughter whom he is trying to get. Why?

It suddenly dawned on the detective as the caffeine began to work its magic.

So he can erase the past.
